Accepting these terms
By using localfiletransfer.com (the “service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The service
Local File Transfer is a free web tool that connects two browsers so they can send files and text directly to each other. Our server only helps the devices find each other; the files themselves are not uploaded to or stored by us. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service at any time, and we don’t guarantee it will always be available.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- send files you don’t have the right to share, including content that infringes copyright or other rights;
- send illegal content, malware, or anything designed to harm devices or data;
- harass, threaten or spam other people, or send files to people who don’t want them;
- overload, probe or disrupt our servers, or get around the limits that protect them;
- break any law that applies to you or to the person you send files to.
Your files
You keep all rights to the files and text you send. Because they go directly between devices, we never receive them. You are responsible for what you send and for what you choose to accept. Only accept files from devices you recognise, and scan unexpected files before opening them.
Copyright and abuse reports
We don’t host files, so there is nothing on our servers we can take down. If you believe someone is using the service to infringe your rights or to cause harm, email apptechcodex3@gmail.com with the details. We will review every report and may block access for anyone who misuses the service.
Trademarks
AirDrop, iPhone and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android and Quick Share are trademarks of Google LLC. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. We mention them only to describe which devices the service works with. Local File Transfer is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Transfers can fail, for example if a page is closed, a device goes to sleep or a network blocks direct connections. Always keep your own copy of important files. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using the service, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
Suspension
We may limit or block access to the service, without notice, for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Pakistan. If you live elsewhere, you keep any consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
