Transfer photos from iPhone to PC in 4 steps

    1. Open localfiletransfer.com on your PC. Any browser works, such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox. You’ll see your PC’s name at the top of the card.
    2. Open the same address on your iPhone in Safari. Make sure both are on the same Wi-Fi. Within a few seconds your PC appears on the iPhone’s radar.
    3. Tap your PC, then choose Photo Library. Select the photos or videos you want. You can pick dozens at once.
    4. Click Accept on the PC, then Save. Each file shows its own progress bar and a Save button when it arrives.

Tip: rename your devices (tap the name at the top of the card) to something like “Sara’s iPhone” and “Office PC”, so you always tap the right one.

Transfer videos from iPhone to PC

Videos work the same way. When you pick a long video from the Photo Library, your iPhone may prepare a compressed copy first. To send the original quality, open the video in Photos, tap Share → Save to Files, then on this page tap your PC, choose Choose File and pick the video from Files.

Keep Safari open on screen until the transfer finishes: iPhone pauses pages that go into the background.

Will my photos arrive as HEIC or JPG?

When you pick photos in Safari, the iPhone usually hands them over as JPG, so they open on any PC. If you do get .HEIC files, Windows opens them after you install the free HEIF Image Extensions from the Microsoft Store.

Other ways to get photos from iPhone to a Windows PC

    Method Cable Install Best for
Local File Transfer (this page) No Nothing Quick transfers over Wi-Fi, any number of photos
USB cable + Windows Photos app Yes Nothing Importing a whole camera roll at once
iCloud for Windows No App + Apple ID Keeping every photo synced automatically
Email or chat apps No Nothing One or two photos; quality is often reduced

    If your PC doesn’t appear

    • Check the Wi-Fi. Both devices must be on the same network. Guest networks often keep devices apart.
    • Turn off VPNs on both devices while you transfer.
    • Use a room code. Tap Nearby devices → New private room on the PC and scan the QR code with your iPhone. This works even on different networks.

    Questions

Can I transfer photos from iPhone to PC without a cable?

Yes. Open localfiletransfer.com on both devices on the same Wi-Fi, tap your PC on the iPhone and pick the photos. They travel directly over your network, with no cable and no iCloud.

Do I need iTunes or iCloud for Windows?

No. Both devices only need a browser: Safari on the iPhone and any browser on the PC.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can send?

We set no limit. Pick as many photos as you like; each arrives with its own progress bar. Keep the page open on both devices until they finish.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Our server only introduces the two devices. The photos go straight from the iPhone to the PC, encrypted by the browser.
